About the Design
Halloween can trace it’s roots back to the pre-Christian Celts of Scotland and Ireland!
For the ancient Celts, Halloween was called “Samhain” (pronounced “sow-in”). It was the night of the year when the veil between the living and the dead was at it’s thinnest. These ancient Celts carved turnips (we now carve pumpkins) and placed them in their windows to scare away any unwanted creepy spirits!
