About the Design

This piece is meant to be allegorical and represent the idea that we are the tip of a spear with our ancestors representing the length of the spear hurling us forward through our lives, acting as a driving force. This ancestral driving force manifests itself both physically in our DNA and gene expressions passed down to us, and by the fact that every action taken by those who lived before us all added up to our lives here in the present.
